Cleaning products are by far the harshest chemicals found any household. Don’t be deceived by their inoffensive packaging and containers. In order for you to fully realize how harmful they can be, you have to read the labels that they have and find out the chemicals that make up those cleaning products. You would find the some of them are carcinogens and that some are neurotoxins.

Another indication of how dangerous they are the reminders on the packaging saying Danger or Warning. Those words mean that the chemicals contained there are highly toxic and can harm and kill a person.

    Carpet Cleaners Are Harshest

Of all the cleaning products that are now being sold in the market, those meant for cleaning carpets are probably the harshest. Carpet cleaners have been known to cause dizziness even from short exposures and government agency findings indicate that it can have negative effects on the kidneys, the nervous system and it is possibly a carcinogen.

How Carpet Cleaners Can Pose Danger

The products used for cleaning carpets can be inhaled by humans when it is applied. Even in a diluted state, the chemicals found in the products can potent enough to cause dizziness. There is also a chance that the internal organs would suffer once the chemical gets inside the body. Once applied on the carpet it can stay there and so anyone who gets in direct contact with the carpet can be exposed to the chemicals contained in the cleaning products.

This can be a bigger problem if you have children in your place. Kids love to roll around the carpet and just enjoy the sensation of its surface rubbing on their skin. If there residues of the chemicals found in carpet cleaners there, then your children could pick those up and get the harsh effects that we have mentioned. They could easily get sick because of it.

The problem is that there are really no effective and cheapcarpet cleaning chemicals that are children friendly, which can be bought in the market today. The best solution for this problem right now is to prevent the carpet from becoming too dirty that it would have to be cleaned with chemicals. Spot cleaning using a mixture of water and vinegar is an effective way of removing stains in a small way. Regular vacuuming of the carpet is also needed to make sure that it is going to stay clean.
